It has never been so cheap to get scared out of your mind. Desura is offering the spectacular horror title, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, for a mere $4.99. Just be sure to play after midnight, with the lights off and headphones on.
Amnesia is available for Windows, Linux and Mac.
You can now pre-order the upcoming action-puzzler from Misfits Attic, A Virus Named Tom, on Desura. The pre-order gives you beta access to the game now and the final version when released. Note: If you order through Desura, you are not given a Steam key.
Nitronic Rush has been given the digital distribution treatment by having the survival racing title available via Desura. Hopefully this move will reach even more PC gamers who have not had the opportunity to play this fantastic game.

In addition, a thread posted in the Steam Forums also gives a list of free titles, mods and other goodies you can download keeping your wallet safe.

Desura is currently running sales on a few great indie games. The space platform shooter, Koya Rift, comes in at a low $1.99. Xotic, an arcade style shooter with online leaderboards, is selling for $4.99. You can view the rest of the titles on sale here.
The popularity of digital distribution has skyrocketed over the last few years. In 2011 alone, we saw several new stores throw their virtual hats into the ring. Although we are saddened by the downfall of PC gaming as a retail buying option, we understand the convenience digital distribution has to offer.
