  1. I got one story in fact is the game I am currently playing. Again.. this might be a small spoiler to the story plot, as with all rpg game. The game is Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Survivor is a turn based rpg/strategy game each party member consist of a playable character and two companion monster.
It was one of the mission to rescue npc character Midori (she’s a cosplay queen turned heroine wannabe). After rescuing her from one of the mission which she got into trouble for wanting to be a cosplay heroine, unfortunately the mission did not end but another boss monster Beldr the immortal appeared and actually this guy is chasing after my team. It is tough being popular ;). Beldr is a good 8 level above my current team level plus he is immortal. My first reflex is to get away from him as much as possible. Then its Beldr’s turn, first hit area effect spells hits all my team member. Almost half my team’s companion monster died within the first hit. Mission objective changed to escape from the map. Then more higher level monster appeared. I was thinking its okay, because my team have more moves per turn, should be able to get to safety easily. Turns out that they new monster have “bind” skill which reduced character movement to 1 block per turn. Blocking attacks, running and luck has managed to get me out of it. At the end of it only my team member survived, all the companion monster died. That is my story on barely surviving an onslaught. Now I need to find the quest item to hurt the immortal, onwards with the game!

  2. Some time ago I had a bet with my husband. He was randing that girls can only play Zuma, Bejeweled and Heroes type of games and I challenged him to find me a game that I won’t be able to play to the very end. He gave me F.E.A.R. (with a vicious smile on his face). I was in the bloody near-death condition during the entire game. Beside the starting 15 minutes it was like permanent onslaught for me. But at the end, after final meeting with Alma I was the one who viciously smiled.

  3. This story is from Diablo 2, back in 2000, I was about 14 years old when I started playing the game.

Me and my friend had bought Diablo 2 and we both we’re stuck in Act 1, which is the starting point of the game, we always used to talk about it at school and when we both played we used to talk on the phone together, the Act 1 boss’ name was Andariel (http://i.imgur.com/efGjO.gif)

After countless months of rage quits because my poor Level 18 Barbarian kept getting his ass kicked by Anderiel and her minions I finally defeated her and started yelling on the phone in excitement to my friend, my friend thought I was awesome but my parents thought I was one weird child.
